StrandVision Digital Signage Introduces Free-Standing Digital Displays
StrandVision Digital Signage introduced a line of large-format, free-standing pedestal LED digital displays. These kiosk displays, sourced from United Visual Products, are available in 46- and 55-inch vertical configurations that include the company’s R360 Linux Digital Media Player. StrandVision also added standardized pricing for several new sizes of LG commercial-grade LED digital displays, as well as smaller pedestal and wall-mountable displays. All of the units are rated for 50,000 hours of continuous use and are optimized for bright, commercial environments. They include tempered glass, alloy encasing, integrated cooling fans, LED backlighting, super-patterned vertical alignment (S-PVA) technology, and built-in speakers.
CRS Announces M300D Impact Printer
CRS, the importing distributor for SNBC in the Americas, announces the release of the SNBC BTP-M300D printer. The plain-paper impact printer — along with other printers in the series — features a new paper “pull” system to reduce paper jams. CRS provides models with either USB and serial or Ethernet on-board for network printing applications. Additional interface options include parallel, serial, Wi-Fi, as well as short- and long-range Bluetooth. The BTP-M300D’s applications include kitchen printing in hospitality and data-logging applications where plain-paper impact printers are preferred.
BlueStar Distributes Pioneer POS Products
BlueStar has entered into a distribution agreement with Pioneer POS to market and distribute the company’s products including all-in-one computers, touch screen monitors, and kiosks with touch screen capability. Pioneer POS designs have applications in retail, healthcare, hospitality, and gaming verticals.
UP Solution Introduces Free Tablet-Based POS For Restaurants
UP Solution launched UP TAB for Restaurant. The UP TAB Restaurant system is available to UP Solution partners at no cost to enable partners to create additional revenue opportunities from both hardware sales and related services. The system combines the company’s restaurant management software with its own tablet-based hardware platform: tablet, stand, printer, magnetic stripe reader (MSR), and cash drawer. The company is planning to launch two more solutions this year: UP TAB Salon in Q3 and UP TAB Retail in Q4.
Aldelo Touch Available For iPad
Aldelo, a provider of POS (point of sale) software solutions for the hospitality industry, released Aldelo Touch, designed for iPad and iPad mini. The solution enables users to choose between a stand-alone POS system (without a PC), or an integrated system with Aldelo’s traditional POS solutions. It also integrates with Aldelo’s EDC payment processing solution, and offers hosted-cloud back office.
POS Lavu Redesigns iPad System Reporting; Company Partners With Ingram Micro
POS Lavu redesigned the reporting process for iPad POS, a software tool with applications in the hospitality industry. Report options include showing daily, monthly, and yearly operations; tracking the growth or changes within the business over different time periods; and monitoring trends based on other criteria. The reporting feature has new navigation controls and visuals representing sales and payment information. Additional interface changes include comparison charts representing a variety of metrics. The Lavu Pilot application allows the user to view reports on the go, supported with real-time data.
Also, Lavu has partnered with distributor Ingram Micro to enable VARs to deliver POS Lavu in an all-inclusive package.
