PROMISE Technology Debuts New Thunderbolt 2 Storage Solutions At WFX 2014

Pegasus2 M4 SSD and SANLink2 10G SFP+ Put Power of Thunderbolt 2 Technology Into Content Creators' Hands

Dallas, TX (Marketwired) - Today at the Worship Facilities Conference & Expo (WFX), PROMISE Technology Inc. announced the availability of two new storage solutions ideal for the growing number of houses of worship that are increasingly recording and editing live video streams to more widely broadcast worship services, sermons, and music -- often with multi-camera recordings being delivered live to several locations and branches, or streamed online. At WFX, the new Pegasus2 M4 SSD will be featured in demos for multi-camera environments and for high-performance live content delivery. PROMISE will demo the VTrak A3800 storage appliance with the new SANLink2 10G SFP+ and the VTrak G1100 NAS Gateway.

The Pegasus2 M4 SSD is a 2TB (four x 500GB SSDs) Thunderbolt™ 2 RAID storage device that fits in the palm of your hand and can be transported to remote locations with ease. The Pegasus2 M4 SSD maximizes the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 2 at over 1300 MB/s, and can feed many ProRes 422 clips at the same time -- allowing them to be edited with Mac Pro®, MacBook Pro®, and Windows® Thunderbolt 2 computers.

The SANLink2 10GBaseT, launched in April at NAB, is a Thunderbolt 2 to 10GbE copper bridge adapter, which, combined with a Mac Pro and RAID storage (such as the Pegasus2), expedites content delivery and rendering for one of the quickest methods to offload footage captured from a Phantom® CineStation™. Similarly, the new SANLink2 10G SFP+ is a Thunderbolt 2 to 10GbE optical bridge adapter, which brings even greater performance to remote locations at greater distances.

Availability
