Quick Heal Launches New Version Of Seqrite Mobile Device Management With Advanced Call, SMS And Network Monitoring Features

Network Security Provider Further Simplifies Mobile-based Threat Management with True SaaS-based Approach to Safeguarding Company Networks

Quick Heal Technologies recently announced the availability of the latest version of Seqrite Mobile Device Management (MDM). Designed to better address the needs of the small to mid-sized enterprise (SME) market, Seqrite MDM allows companies to more efficiently manage, maintain and regulate the growing number of smartphones and tablets used on the job today.

The new MDM release is an intuitive cloud-based solution that makes it easy for IT administrators or business owners to manage the security and productivity of all mobile devices deployed within the company’s network. Featuring a true SaaS approach to mobile device management, it also delivers the affordability of an on-demand solution.

Seqrite MDM provides cross-platform support for iOS, Android and Windows phones and can support any number of devices – scaling to meet company requirements quickly and easily.

“As the mobile workforce continues to grow and expand, there must be safeguards in place to make sure network-connected devices are not posing a threat to company networks,” said Farokh Karani, Director - North America, Sales and Channels, Quick Heal Technologies. “With Seqrite MDM, administrators and business owners can also make sure their mobile workers are using company-approved apps and features, which not only boosts worker productivity but also keeps device and mobile usage costs manageable over the long run.”

Key new features in Seqrite MDM include:

Network Data Monitoring – With network data monitoring, admins can view data usage details for all devices on the company network. Device data can include usage over Wi-Fi networks or roaming and mobile data. This data can be analyzed to determine how data bandwidth is being consumed, which applications are using the most data and the breakout of usage data per device.

  • Call/SMS Monitoring – The ability to monitor and audit all incoming and outgoing calls and SMS messages on networked devices enables companies to boost the productivity of these devices, as well as an organization’s mobile workforce.
  • Seqrite MDM Launcher – Using the Launcher, admins can completely customize how mobile devices function within the enterprise. Apps on the device and even built-in device features can be enabled or disabled as per company security policies.

In addition to these new features, Seqrite MDM also offers Panoramic Asset Management for comprehensive visibility into details on each mobile device. This feature works to isolate devices that may be violating security policies, posing a threat to the company as well as the potential to expose the network to vulnerabilities.

Onboarding is also simplified with the new MDM offering’s “over-the-air” device enrollment feature, which allows individual devices to be enrolled in just minutes through a few easy steps. After device authentication, all configurations, policies, apps and restrictions are synced in real-time.
