Retail Solutions Provider Association (RSPA) Announces New CEO And President

The RSPA Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kelly Funk to the Position of CEO and President of the RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association), effective April 7, 2014. Ms. Funk has extensive leadership and management experience, and has held previous positions with the Alzheimer’s Association, Genworth, and GE Financial. She also holds a Masters degree in Leadership from Georgetown University, where she is an adjunct faculty member. Ms. Funk along with her husband and their 6 year old son will be moving to the greater Charlotte, NC area in the near future.

“The RSPA is very pleased have Kelly on board,” stated Lynn Skurla, Madam Chair of the RSPA Board of Directors. “The RSPA is dedicated to the success of resellers and vendors in the Retail Technology marketplace. Her demonstrated leadership experience and commitment to our association will continue to drive membership and certification.”

The RSPA has had significant membership growth in the last few years, and during that time the financial position of the association has improved dramatically as well. There is also considerable change occurring in the POS industry, with products, technologies and routes to market evolving to meet the needs of the changes occurring in retail and hospitality.

The RSPA headquarters staff is making changes too, in order to more effectively respond to the industry changes. Joe Finizio, who has guided the association through some tumultuous times, and has been at the helm during some periods of high growth, has recently assumed the new role of Executive Director of Industry Strategies and Relations. In this role, he will continue to strengthen the RSPA’s relationship with other associations, be deeply involved with strategy development for the association, and work more closely with the broader RSPA membership.
