Star’s First Interactive Communication Platform and Printer
The link between customer satisfaction and increased sales has created a race for technology providers to create solutions that enhance the customer interaction experience. In pursuit of this enhanced customer engagement experience, Star Micronics has launched the AsuraCPRNT, Star’s first interactive communication platform.
Used as a stand-alone terminal or able to be integrated into any infrastructure, the AsuraCPRNT is a unique and interactive platform for endless applications. Standing at 15 inches tall, the AsuraCPRNT offers more features and functionality than the larger, more expensive kiosks commonly used in the same environments. At its heart is a reliable ARM processor that manages a seven-inch touchscreen and high-speed three-inch printer. The AsuraCPRNT is available with optional integrated MSR and 2D imager, making it flexible to meet customer needs in any industry.
The AsuraCPRNT’s computing power offers the capability to display and deliver audiovisual messages on its own screen as well as on external digital signage. The AsuraCPRNT provides developers with the perfect platform to create applications that engage the customer and provide an interactive in-store experience including managing queues and loyalty programs, tracking inventory, operating as a selfservice kiosk, and so much more. The AsuraCPRNT also has the ability to drive content to digital devices such as smartphones, merchant tablets and digital signage and is optimized to support connection of external USB peripherals such as a biometric scanner, WiFi/3G/4G dongle, camera and many others.
Agility with the “i” Series
Agility is key when engaging customers in retail and hospitality environments. Long lines and wait times can lead to dissatisfied customers and decreased sales. Star’s “i” Series of iOS compatible Bluetooth receipt printers offer an agile solution to bring the transaction to the customer. This mobile-friendly series includes the SM-S220i, SM-T300i, SM-T400i and TSP650II BTi.
The SM-220i is Star’s first portable Bluetooth printer to be MFi certified by Apple® for use with its iPad®, iPhone® and iPod touch®. The SM-S220i will make it easier for resellers to offer a simple hardware solution to merchants that is compatible with all of the popular mobile platforms.
Star’s SM-T300i (three-inch printing) and SM-T400i (four-inch printing) iOS compatible Bluetooth portable printers are a ruggedized version of the SM-S220i. Their rugged and water-resistant design coupled with long battery life makes the SM-T300i and SM-T400i welcomed options for any environment. The SM-T300i allows restaurant servers and clerks working in demanding retail and hospitality environments to print standard three-inch format receipts wherever they need to, and the SM-T400i’s fourinch format is ideal for law enforcement to use in issuing e-citations.
Last but not least is the TSP650II BTi, Star’s first desktop MFi certified Bluetooth printer. Fully equipped with a Bluetooth interface, “drop in and print” paper loading, small footprint and reliable guillotine cutter, the TSP650II BTi is a welcomed addition to POS systems, ideal for retail establishments and restaurants.
