The Women’s Network in Electronic Transactions (W.net) has announced Lisa Falzone, co-founder and CEO of iPad point of sale (POS) company Revel Systems, will present a keynote address at the W.net 10th Anniversary SuperLINC event scheduled for March 31. This year, W.net’s event will be held immediately prior to the TRANSACT15’s Opening Reception.

In addition, Carol Grunberg, head of partner management for Google Payments and W.net board member, will conduct an informal "fireside chat” with Falzone. The dialog will include how Falzone got started in business, her role as a disruptor in the payments space, the path she’s taken to obtain venture funding, and what it’s like to be a woman in the male-dominated payments industry and Silicon Valley startup worlds.

According to a December interview with the Huffington Post, 29-year old Falzone “has led her Silicon Valley startup to profitability in just a year and transformed the ‘old school’ POS ways.” Falzone has been recognized by Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” Business Insider’s “30 Most Important Women Under 30 In Tech,” and San Francisco Business Times’ “40 Under 40.”

She shared details of how her company embarked on selling iPad-based POS in the Business Solutions article “iPad POS: Making Waves, Making Millions.”

W.net is the premier electronic transactions organization dedicated solely to women in the field, and its goal from its initiation has been to provide a forum to inspire and empower women in the electronic transactions industry through networking opportunities, mentoring programs, and the overall promotion of women in the industry by enabling them to maximize their potential and position them for greater success.

W.net also sponsored the Innovation Project™ 2015 powered by PYMNTS.com, a two-day conference on March 18 and 19, which convened minds from the world of payments and commerce. The event recognized two outstanding women in the payments industry: The W.net Women To Watch award was given to Carey Kolaja, VP Of Global Consumer Products for PayPal. Perse Faily, CEO of Tillster was awarded the W.net Women Driving Innovation in Payments Award.
