RSD Unveils Free Version Of RSD IGaaS Policy Manager SE

Delivers a policy engine that is agnostic to any repository and piece of information via a cloud-hosted service

RSD, a leading provider of Information Governance solutions for the enterprise, recently announced a free version of RSD GLASS Policy Manager to help companies create new policies and better govern their confidential data and intellectual property. The free version of Policy Manager lets customers access its key features at no charge in a cloud-hosted environment by leveraging RSD’s Information Governance as a Service (IGaaS) architecture.

RSD GLASS Policy Manager provides the policy creation and management collaboration needed to ensure consistent compliance with laws, regulations and business requirements. Policy Manager defines and ensures compliance with jurisdiction-specific regulations for all information including structured and unstructured data, and electronic and physical content.

This version of Policy Manager allows information management professionals to create new policies on how corporate information should be governed without needing to install any software in their IT environment. Existing master classification and retention schedules can be immediately leveraged to begin creating centralized policies accessible via a web browser. As business mandates and legal requirements change, Policy Manager will allow companies to easily update and keep track of all their policies. The product supports Software-as-a-Service deployment and is hosted on Amazon Web Services.

“We are seeing large market opportunities across different industries that allow us to be able to offer a free version to customers who are interested in test-driving our Information Governance solutions. We’re pleased to be able to provide it via our IGaaS architecture in a cloud-hosted model, eliminating any customer requirement to install the software within their IT infrastructure,” said Pierre Van Beneden, CEO, RSD. “We remain committed to delivering a comprehensive, yet easy-to-use, Information Governance platform to let customers better govern their data. With RSD GLASS Policy Manager, customers have a policy engine that is truly agnostic to any repository and piece of information. It centralizes the policies into a single location, and customers can access that service from any web browser.”
