RSPA Inspires ‘As A Service' Handbook For Retail IT Resellers

By Jim Roddy, Business Solutions president

Arriving in your mailbox in July will be BSM’s Annual Guide To POS & Payment Processing Trends. We’re especially proud because this year’s guide features a handbook designed to help retail IT resellers transition from break/fix to the “as a Service” business model.

BSM Chief Editor Mike Monocello worked long hours to deliver this information to the channel – and I also want to give a big assist to the RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association).

One of the most important benefits BSM receives from our involvement in the RSPA is hearing first-hand from channel executives about our industry’s most important trends and the biggest needs of resellers. This “as a Service” handbook wouldn’t have been possible without hearing from the retail IT channel, and the message wouldn’t have been as clear to us without the networking opportunities afforded by the RSPA.

I hope you find this handbook valuable, and I hope it can help us all in our quest to become more educated on this important trend. Feel free to send any of these links to your channel colleagues:

I also encourage you to register for our Channel Transitions VAR/MSP Executive Conference, an education and networking conference designed to help solution providers learn how to best implement and manage the “as a Service” model. Not surprisingly, the RSPA was the first to step forward to sponsor our event.
