RSPA's Thought Leadership Summit Challenges Retail Technology Industry Leaders To Collaborate

The Retail Solutions Providers Association (RSPA) recently announce that its annual thought leadership summit, INSPIRE, will feature the debut of Peer Group-based collaborative education for the retail technology industry.

INSPIRE 2014 Keynote, Arlin Sorensen, is Founder of HTG Peer Groups. an international organization of IT solution provider executives formed to enrich business and personal development. Sorensen established HTG Peer Groups in 2000 as a business and personal development community, and it has grown to include nearly 300 member companies throughout North America, the United Kingdom and Australia/New Zealand. Along with his experience in promoting collaboration among IT companies, he bring decades of professional experience as Business Owner, Entrepreneur, and Technology Provider. For more information, visit www.HTGPeerGroups.com.

INSPIRE 2014 attendees will experience the Peer Group model by being assembled into small teams during the daily education. Five additional members of the HTG Peer Groups team: Rich Anderson, Israel Lang, Brad Schow, Pete Sorensen and Laurie Sorensen will act as onsite facilitators for the INSPIRE "Peer Groups," leading the INSPIRE groups in discussions and best practice sharing in areas such as Leadership, Accountability, and Business Planning.

"As the only association representing the retail technology industry, it's become an increasingly important goal for the RSPA to create a culture of collaboration within our membership," said Amber M. Murdock, RSPA Education and Certification Manager. "With the rapid changes taking place in the industry, it is essential that our members not only be able to bounce ideas off of one another, but also keep each other encouraged in the midst of transition."

INSPIRE 2014 education will also feature content specific to both resellers and vendors, since HTG Peer Groups also offers a Vendor Peer Group, which is modeled after work the organization did in the VAR and MSP communities. "The HTG Vendor Peer Group gives members a deeper understanding of what their channel partners need from vendors to interact more effectively, from marketing and sales programs to operational issues and personal development," as defined by HTG upon the launch of their first Vendor Peer Group in August 2010.

Hosted at the scenic Gran Melia Resort in Puerto Rico, INSPIRE attendees will be able to partake in the many amenities of the property, while networking with other business leaders inside and outside of the event's educational setting. Table top displays, unique excursion opportunities, multiple networking events, along with the e-Nabler EPEC event, (taking place immediately before INSPIRE) maximize the opportunities for retail technology leaders to network and make lasting business connections.
