The spring event season has begun and it’s a great time of year. It gives RSPA an opportunity to visit with many of our members – both resellers and vendors – and keep in touch with latest industry trends.

Recently three members of the RSPA staff were able to attend BlueStar’s “What’s Brewing” event in RSPA’s home city of Charlotte, North Carolina. The event featured product demonstration areas by APG Cash Drawer, Datalogic, Epson and TE Connectivity/ELO. What was exciting about the venue is that it gave us a chance to meet with several members; many of whom we typically may not have a chance to speak with at a national event. We were also able to meet several non-members and let them know about the benefits of membership.

It’s key that your industry association hears what is going on in the marketplace and most importantly the issues that are affecting our members’ businesses and ultimately the industry. It gives us an opportunity to do a “rationality check” on the association’s activities, and identify new issues.
