Seiko Instruments Expands Technology Reach With Phoenix Group Distribution Agreement

Leading distributor of POS technology products and services to now offer manufacturer’s thermal and Smart Label Printer lines.

Seiko Instruments USA Inc. (SII) Thermal Printer Division, a globally recognized leader in thermal printer technology, recently announced that it has signed a distribution agreement with The Phoenix Group (TPG), a leading distributor of Point-of-Sale (POS) products and services.

The distribution agreement will provide TPG customers the opportunity to now offer Seiko Instruments’ extensive thermal printer and Smart Label Printer (SLP) lines. This includes the Qaliber Point-of-Sale Receipt Printer Series, the newly launched MP-A40 Series mobile printers, and the Smart Label Printer 600 Series (SLP 600) desktop label printers.

From the thermal printer line, TPG customers will have access to Seiko’s sleek and fast Qaliber Point-of-Sale Receipt Printers, which offer industry-leading print speeds of approximately 1.15 feet per second. Further, the MP-A40 Series mobile printers will be an asset to TPG customers using tablet-based POS systems, offering a high-quality, budget-friendly printer solution. Also included are Seiko’s Smart Label Printer 600 Series (SLP 600) desktop label printers, which offer a faster, easier and more affordable way to organize daily business tasks.

Seiko Instruments Thermal Printer Division has already experienced more than two decades of success in working with customers worldwide who have sold hundreds of thousands of embedded printers annually within POS, small business, and a variety of other applications. This, coupled with TPG’s solid reputation as the largest, independently owned distributor, is a solid complement to Seiko Instruments’ strategy of providing customers with industry-leading products that are focused on the overall customer experience.

“We are very pleased to enter into this distribution agreement with The Phoenix Group who are clear industry leaders when it comes to POS products and services,” said Kaz Onishi, Vice President, Seiko Instruments USA. “We look forward to working with The Phoenix Group on expanding our respective industry reaches, and we admire their mission statement of providing their customers with a personal, turnkey solution that goes beyond the bottom line.”

“TPG is proud to be partnered with Seiko Instruments, one of the most respected and powerful names in the world, known for their expertise in engineering and manufacturing,” said Wally Sebastian, TPG Vice President of Sales. “As we evaluate potential partners, Seiko Instruments stood above the crowd with their product offering and partner support, and we are truly excited about our new partnership with them.”
