Star Cloud Services Expands Free Cloud-Based Customer Engagement Solutions for SMBs with New Receipt Flip Feature for Digital Receipts

Star Cloud Services, a subsidiary of leading receipt printer manufacturer Star Micronics, announced recently the launch of Receipt Flip, the first two-sided, color digital receipt option for Small Businesses.

Expanding the capabilities of digital receipts, Star Cloud Services built Receipt Flip to enable retailers with technology that allows them to take advantage of the back side of digital receipts – as they could on printed receipts – to display terms and conditions, store policies, promotions, marketing material and more.

“For retailers, receipts are vital for three departments: financial, to know what was purchased, loss prevention to know under which conditions items can be returned, and marketing, to get shoppers back in the store,” said Star Cloud Services’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing David Salisbury. “As the shopping experience evolves from paper to digital, it’s important to satisfy each of these needs.”

With other digital receipt solutions, such as receipt apps requiring customers to take a picture of their receipt, shoppers aren’t able or encouraged to take a picture of the back of their receipt, therefore creating missed opportunities for marketing departments and stress for loss prevention departments. Additionally, email receipts require shoppers to give up personal information, something many of them prefer not to or are unwilling to do.
