3 Steps To Meeting The EMV Liability Shift

Beginning Oct. 1, 2015, businesses who don’t have a system in place to accept EuroPay, MasterCard and Visa chip cards will be held responsible for fraud that may occur. The EMV liability shift is fast approaching and, contrary to popular belief, though switching to EMV-ready terminals is not a “mandate” it is critical to improving payments security and avoiding costly fraud penalties in the long term.
