5 Steps You Can Take To Charge Your Clients More

The information technology industry, like all others, is a competitive arena where companies pit cost against quality to achieve the greatest value. As companies compete for business and clients search for the best deal, it can be tempting for companies to lower prices to land a deal and keep the business rolling in. While this may bring in some clients, it may not be the best format to ensure the longevity of your company. With this in mind, I encourage you to consider the following steps you can take to make yourself more comfortable with charging your clients more for you services.
- Always Present Yourself As A Professional
Red Adair, a famous oil well firefighter, is credited with the quote, “If you think it is expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur.” The wisdom in this statement is that a professional will do the job correctly the first time and will stand by the quality of his or her work. If you present yourself as a professional you should feel comfortable charging your clients for the top level quality you will provide with your services. Stress to your clients that they may be paying you more now but paying someone with less expertise will undoubtedly cost them more in the long run.
