SATO, a leader in barcode printing, labeling, and EPC/RFID solutions, and Altrax Group, a leader in traceability solutions for the healthcare environment, Bristol, UK, co-announced recently that Medical device manufacturer Stryker Europe has adopted SATO’s PJM* RFID solutions in their Swedish distribution centre.

Prior to the Nordic countries, Stryker Europe has introduced PJM RFID solutions at its main distribution centres in UK, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium and Italy, following successful deployment in Australia and New Zealand.

Having acquired Magellan Technology, inventor of the unique PJM RFID technology in December 2013, SATO now continues to pursue the research and development of the same technology from Sydney, Australia while rapidly expanding its business of implant logistics management solutions in Asia and Europe.

“We are extremely honoured to receive the confidence and trust of Stryker Europe in recognition of our technology and service quality,” said Kaz Matsuyama, President & CEO of SATO Holdings, “Stryker’s decision to expand the use of SATO’s PJM RFID solutions to the Nordic countries is a strong endorsement that we are providing the right products and services, with the right technology and the right attitude.”

Altrax Group, specialists in manual and electronic traceability solutions for hospital Decontamination, Endoscopy and Theatre departments, has been the solution partner of Magellan Technology (now SATO Vicinity) and SATO UK.

“We believe in getting involved,” said Andrew Southcott, Director of Altrax Group. “It is not only the superb technologies that are important; it’s just as important to understand what the end user needs from this technology.”

“We are also looking to offer the kind of user engagement that will truly make a difference for our customers. Between SATO and Altrax, we cannot go wrong because we both have the same philosophy — we listen to our customers and understand what they want.”
