Symantec Expands Security Capabilities For Managed Service Providers With The Availability Of The Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in 1.5 For Kaseya
Mountain View, Calif. – Delivering a proof point from its Managed Service Provider (MSP) strategy, Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in 1.5 for Kaseya® software. The new Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in 1.5 is now available at no cost for Symantec registered partners and is the first discrete third party security plug-in product for Kaseya. Additional new features include the monitoring of APIs to deepen integration with leading remote monitoring and management platforms (RMMs), allowing MSPs to differentiate their services and accelerate the success of their business.
The Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in 1.5 for Kaseya and additional new features are part of Symantec’s continued commitment to helping MSPs maximize opportunities, simplify their managed services business, increase customer confidence, and accelerate profitability.
New Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Features
The Symantec Endpoint Protection Management Plug-in for Kaseya enables MSPs to be more profitable and efficient by keeping endpoints updated, being proactive in fixing issues, and monitoring their customers' environments from a single console. Information can be monitored from an organizational level including organization name, total number of endpoints, number of infected or healthy endpoints, offline, and at-risk endpoints (content is out-of-date, client disabled by user, or no protection installed). For individual devices, computer name, version, infection status, management system, last scan time, operating system, and protection status can be retrieved.
Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 also now offers enhanced monitoring of APIs for integration with leading RMM platforms, allowing MSPs to view and monitor more detailed information such as license expiration, status, license type, updates and more. MSPs can also check customers’ connectivity to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, system health, risk, scan, remediation events, report on protection that is enabled or disabled, and content revision events.
Symantec offers several programs that provide financial incentives, technical support, sales and technical enablement, along with demand generation and marketing tools. More information can be found here about how Symantec is helping partners be successful positioning and selling SMB solutions.
