Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce its selection by the Art Institute of Chicago as the venue’s new ticketing provider. Voted the #1 Museum in the World by TripAdvisor, the Art Institute of Chicago boasts one of the highest levels of membership holders among cultural institutions in the United States. The Institute’s more than 1,450,000 annual visitors will enjoy an enhanced visitor experience with the implementation of Gateway’s flagship point of sale solution, Galaxy. In addition to front gate sales, the venue will also use Galaxy for order entry, resource management and group sales on the web as well as for online reseller & consignment sales. The Institute is slated to go‐live with Galaxy in May 2015.

Galaxy’s full‐featured functionality and ability to grow with the Art Institute’s technical needs in the future was key to their decision to work with Gateway: “Prior to the vendor selection process, the ticketing system implementation team spent a great deal of time identifying what system functionality would allow us to better serve our members and visitors,” said Anne‐Marie Eischen, Director of Museum Finance at the Art Institute of Chicago. “We chose Gateway Ticketing Systems because their Galaxy point‐of‐sale solution offered most of the enhancements we identified during our discovery process. Additionally, we found Galaxy to have the technical sophistication we will need to be responsive to our visitors and members now and in the future.”

Gateway Ticketing Systems Business Solutions Architect, Steve Bell, is thrilled to see Gateway partner withsuch a renowned museum: “We are excited to work with this highly technical group to deliver a solution that meets the very demanding requirements of the Art Institute. The Galaxy unified solution will further enhance and revolutionize the way the Museum caters to its guests and members. Our solutions will seamlessly connect with several in house applications that the museum’s team has created, resulting in one of the most advanced technology landscapes possible. I am personally excited to see how our Planner Resource Management features will enable them fluidity in providing the best guest experience for the many exceptional events they create and host. eGalaxy Group Sales on the Web and Reseller Web Store will also allow them to manage their trade partner sales through a single solution, increasing operational efficiency and generating revenue.”

Gateway Ticketing Systems and its employees are thrilled to welcome the Art Institute of Chicago to the Gateway family and look forward to a long and successful relationship.
