A well-respected RSPA Member contacted me to ask if I would speak with a potential customer with PCI questions. Although the RSPA Legal Hotline is not designed to assist End Users the Member was persuasive and I agreed. The End User was the second-generation owner of a family restaurant business. The son of the original owner had grown the business from one location to five. The added growth required a giant step from a Sweda stand-alone register to a sophisticated restaurant management system. Whereas the father had avoided detailed record keeping, the son knew and tracked every detail for every location. The business was profitable, successful, and growing.
