The Wire-Free Advantage — Sensor Networks In The Data Center

Professionals working in the data center and integrators advising on which IT solutions to invest in face similar challenges. How can we stop a facility from being too hot, cold, complex or costly? Can we maximize our investment, better control the environment, and improve operational efficiency? These, and many other questions, put companies and their integration partners under pressure on a daily basis.

Technology is advancing rapidly, and while compressed server designs, virtualization and circuit density are having a positive impact on data centers, these developments are also generating more heat. An effect of this combination is that IT staff have to spend more time adjusting cooling and monitoring equipment for efficiency purposes, instead of focusing on business-critical tasks.

Because of these challenges, operations departments are now looking for new approaches to manage disparate systems and sensitive locations. The best approach is to untether yourself from wires and consider a wire-free alternative.
