When you've got a customer list that includes quick service restaurants like Wendy's, KFC, Taco Johns, and Popeye's, it's clear that you're doing something right. ERC, a VAR based in Kennesaw, GA, actually has that customer list. In talking recently with the owner, Chuck Rollins, and Dan Cox, the company's VP of retail system solutions, it became clear that while there are many things ERC does to win and maintain big chain customers, they have great tips, tactics, and lessons that can be applied to restaurants of smaller sizes. In fact, much of their advice can be applied to the retail market as well.
