3 Tips For Using Video To Benefit Your Company

In any industry, all forms of content are important when promoting and marketing your business. Utilizing “free’” space, such as social media platforms, helps your company create a user-friendly portal from which to engage with customers and makes it easier to offer expert advice and support. In the office printing equipment manufacturing industry, we make use of several platforms — including YouTube — to showcase videos of tutorials, product operation and routine maintenance, and more. YouTube provides the opportunity to bring a company to life through visual content. In order to use videos to benefit a company, follow these three key tips:

  1. Make It A “Short” Story. The average corporate/product video should be no more than 2 to 3 minutes long. It’s beneficial to keep the video brief while being certain to include the content that makes it relevant. In doing so, this will quickly engage your audience and promote your message at the same time. Having a story behind your video (for example, a tour of a product or device) is important when getting your message across. With short videos that include a story, you’re educating your audience with interactive visuals that help you “upsell,” consecutively, improving profitability.
