Tri-County Bank Adopts Epson For Its Teller Operations

Epson Gives Bank a “Stacked” Multifunction Solution with Maximum Performance in the Smallest Footprint

Epson America, Inc., a leading supplier of value-added financial solutions, recently announced the successful installation of its compact TM-S2000 multifunction scanner and TM-T70II receipt printer at Tri-County Bank (TCB), a family-owned community bank in four locations in rural North Central Nebraska. Epson’s “stackable” solution is the only one available today that can be entirely operated from the front of the printer, making it easier to use and maintain. TCB has teamed up with Epson and Fiserv, a leader in financial services technology, to gain operational efficiencies of its teller operations.

TCB had been running Fiserv’s Integrated Teller for Premier solution for about two years and decided to upgrade to the Fiserv Teller Source Capture to better enable real-time balancing of deposits at the teller line while the customer is present. They evaluated several different options for their scanners and receipt printers and chose the Epson TM-S2000 and TM-T70II solutions because of higher scanning speed, cost-effectiveness, front-facing controls and innovative housing allowing the units to be stacked and therefore, saving valuable counter space.

“Teller space is at a premium to begin with, so adding two separate devices just didn’t make sense,” said Jeremey Shiers, CFO at Tri County Bank. “When I learned about Epson’s TM-S2000 and TM-T70II small footprint multifunction teller solutions, I was excited by the innovation. Epson was also the only company that offered us a 2-year warranty. In just a little bit of space, we have incorporated a complete teller function with the assurance of Epson’s strong warranty policy. Most importantly, by using the Fiserv Teller Source Capture and the Epson solutions, we can provide faster and better customer service.”

Epson has a wide range of solutions for the banking and payment industries,” said, Tom Kettell, Senior Manager of Business Development for Epson's Business Systems Division. "Tri-County Bank was looking to optimize efficiencies at the teller window, which requires feature-rich technology solutions designed to fit where space is at a premium. Epson's stacked solution delivers maximum performance in a very small package, which is key to optimizing work flow, while conserving valuable workspace."
