Tyco Security Products Introduces Cloud-Based Visitor Management System

Cloud-based SV3 Visitor Management System integration with C•CURE 9000 allows anytime, anywhere scheduling and tracking of visitors

Tyco Security Products, part of Tyco, the world’s largest pure-play fire protection and security company, introduces the SV3 Cloud-based Visitor Management System’s integration with the C•CURE 9000 Security and Event Management System, providing comprehensive, web-based tracking of visitor information data, beginning with pre-registration.

When integrated with C•CURE 9000, the SV3 Visitor Management System from Building Intelligence, Inc. allows security officers to pre-register visitors, and track their entry and exit to facilities using a single user interface. Because SV3 is a cloud-based system, operators can schedule visitors and perform registrations and scheduling of events from anywhere using a Web browser. SV3 is easy to use, and includes extensive reporting and audit trail capabilities, a single sign-on feature, and superb data retention capacity.

“The SV3 integration with C•CURE 9000 delivers the perfect mix of automation and comprehensive visitor management capability,” said Jason Ouellette, Product Line Director, Access Control, for Tyco Security Products. “In addition to self-service capabilities for users at kiosks, the integration allows personnel records in C•CURE 9000 to be managed for temporary credentials in the event of a lost, stolen or forgotten security badge, as well as bringing visitors into C•CURE 9000 from SV3 to allow for controlled access with or without escort. This cloud-based integration puts powerful tools at the fingertips of operators and users alike to enhance the end to end visitor/temporary credential management.”

The SV3 web interface includes the flexible configuration of assigned visitor clearances and the ability to temporarily assign credentials using a facility’s existing card technology, including Prox, MIFARE, iCLASS, Smart Card, PIV, CAC, and any other formats supported by C•CURE 9000. Multi-factor authentication is supported and single sign-ons use ADFS, OAUTH2 and SAML for advanced security. Operators can receive visitor arrival, watch list, instructions and other security notifications via email, further simplifying tasks for security personnel.

SV3 has been designated a SAFETY Act technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, which encourages the development and deployment of anti-terrorist technologies. SV3 was also awarded the top honor at the Security Industry Association's 2014 New Product Showcase, winning the Best New Product Award at the NPS awards ceremony at ISC West 2014.
