educational service agency located on Long Island, NY that provides educational
programs and opportunities to meet distinct needs within 18 local school districts.
Western Suffolk BOCES helps school-age children and adults gain the skills and
knowledge they need to be successful in the workplace, by offering programs in three
main divisions: Special Education, Career & Technical Education and Instructional
Support Services.
THE CHALLENGE
Western Suffolk BOCES was standardized on a competitive vendor's printing products, including color inkjet printers that were
impractical for the education environment.WhileWestern Suffolk BOCES was not actively displeased with its current print operation, they
were not aware of the amount ofmoney they were wasting on consumables for the color inkjet printers. Further, the customer was unable
to fulfill educator requests for in-classroom color, which teachers believed would improve reader retention levels.
