Violin Memory Appoints Andrew Perry VP Of Global Channel Sales; Promotes Christian Putz To VP Of EMEA Channel Sales

Violin Memory®, Inc., (NYSE:VMEM), a leading provider of all-flash storage arrays and appliances delivering application solutions for the enterprise, today announced its new Global Partner Program and the promotion of Andrew Perry to the position of Global Vice President, Channel Sales, and the promotion of Christian Putz to the position of Vice President, EMEA Channel Sales. The Violin Global Partner Program is designed to reward partners with increased revenue opportunities and market growth by providing flash to their customers as the transformational economic centerpiece for enterprise and cloud data centers and next-generation application and workload delivery solutions.
Global Vice President, Channel Sales Andrew Perry will focus on program expansion, services and support and direct the efforts of the channel sales teams in the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions. Perry joined Violin in January 2013 as the VP of US Channel Sales with more than 20 years of sales and management experience including the partner and distribution strategies for technology companies Peribit Networks, now a part of Juniper Networks, and VitalSoft, a division of Lucent Technologies.
In EMEA, Christian Putz brings extensive leadership across the region’s channel having held previous roles at EMC, where he developed and grew EMC’s channel business. Christian will be responsible for growing Violin’s channel partner business through strategic relationships with reseller partners in all of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His expanded team includes Kamel Kerbib in France, Ashminder Uhbi in the UK and NI, Robert Schiller in Germany and Richard Ruddlesden as Business Development Manager for the Windows Flash Array EMEA.
