4 Ways To Create A Seamless Transition To EMV For Your IT Clients And Their Customers

With the October 1 EMV liability shift just a little over a month away — merchants still looking to comply with their limited timeframes — need efficient and cost-effective strategies to make the deadline or be held liable for fraudulent card transactions. There are a variety of solutions they can utilize to implement EMV and for those still seeking avenues, here are four ways you can seamlessly transition you IT clients to EMV:

  1. EMV Migration Education. With the amount of processes and steps needed to reach EMV certification, the first step for merchants should be educating themselves on what they’ll need to do to reach implementation. The Payments Security Task Force and the EMV Migration Forum, recently partnered to offer educational materials about EMV-chip card payments, including templates of social media posts and hashtags; educational downloads that include visual and training guides; media interview tips; and more. Help your clients find education programs to assist them.
