I’ve never spoken to a VAR, software developer, or MSP that was totally satisfied with where its business was in terms of revenue or sales. That’s why it’s so surprising that, upon closer inspection, I often learn that those same wishful companies aren’t willing to make some adjustments that can help. Understand, I’m not suggesting that growing revenue or sales is easy, but I’m positive that it cannot be done by repeating a tired formula of hardware and software sales, along with a basic support plan. After interviewing a whole lot of successful solutions providers, I’ve come up with a short list of the things I would make sure I was doing to greatly increase the chances for success.
