3 Ways To Keep Your Customers Ransomware-Free

By The Business Solutions Network

Online security threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated and insidious, but following a few IT security best practices can greatly reduce your customers’ chances of being victimized.

According to research from IBM and Ponemon Institute, the average organization sees more than 200,000 pieces of security event data per day, and enterprises are spending $1.3 million a year dealing with false positives alone, wasting nearly 21,000 hours. Trend Micro predicts 2016 will go down in history as “The year of online extortion,” and Kaspersky Lab’s research corroborates this statement, noting that Q1, 2016, saw a 30 percent increase in the number of ransomware attacks compared to Q4, 2015.
