Who's Your Daily Source For Channel Talk?

By Mike Monocello, editor in chief, Business Solutions magazine

If you’re looking for in-depth features, peer case studies, and thought-provoking trends articles on the technologies you currently sell (or might in the future), Business Solutions magazine has got it covered. But, where do you turn to for channel advice in the days between issues? Just because we’re busy working on our next issue during the month doesn’t mean that you aren’t dealing with new challenges, researching solutions to customer problems, or just looking to learn about a new technology. Well, I’m proud to say that we’ve got you covered now every day of the month with the launch of our new blog (blog.bsminfo.com).

Before I go any further, I want you to understand that the new Business Solutions blog isn’t something we created on a whim or with little forethought. This isn’t “just another blog.” The fact is, we’ve been building the editorial style and guidelines for months to be able to deliver on a daily basis what we feel are truly compelling articles of the same high caliber (albeit shorter in length to respect your time) as those in the magazine. To pull this off, we’re pooling the resources of our experienced editorial team. Jay McCall, networking and managed services editor, will be contributing regularly, as will our publisher Sue Bresee and Web editor Sarah Skelton. Of course, I’ll be writing as well.

Just like Business Solutions magazine, the topics you find us covering on the blog will be varied throughout the month. Also, like the magazine, don’t be surprised if you find articles educating you on new opportunities to sell technologies complementary to those you’re already selling. After all, that is the foundation of our magazine.

Apart from writing articles on the topics most important to you, our goal is to build the IT channel’s most knowledgeable, sharing, and thought-provoking community, and your presence can only make it stronger. Whether you agree with what we’re writing, think we’re slightly off, or think we’re just plain bananas crazy, I encourage you to participate in the commenting system and share your thoughts.

By the time this article makes it to your mailbox, there will be more than 40 original blog posts that you probably haven’t read. Take a few minutes to visit blog.bsminfo.com. I’m 100% confident you’ll find something to help your business.
