Why Managed Network Services Make Sense

Managed network services (MNS) are a way for multifunction peripherals (MFPs) dealers and other IT solutions providers to differentiate themselves, as well as building recurring revenue and higher margins. According to a white paper from N-able by SolarWinds, it also provides you the chance to assume responsibility for the entire network — from the MFP to the server.

In the white paper, N-able identifies four industry trends that show adding MNS is a step that can help your business maintain its value:

  1. Commoditization Of Peripherals. Although commoditization is nothing new, N-able points out the rate at which businesses are switching from high-end A3 MFPs to lower cost A4s is “surprising.” The paper cites the Business Technology Association (BTA), which reports since 2010, A4 MFP unit growth has increased 50 percent, while A3 mono MFP adoption has declined by 6 percent.
