Apply Your All-In-One Expertise In Healthcare

Source: PioneerPOS, Inc.

Michael Flores, Director of Business Development with PioneerPOS, talks with Jameson Publishing and Business Solutions magazine President Jim Roddy in this exclusive Executive-To-Executive interview. In this interview, Flores discusses the differences between restaurant POS and hospital cafeterias, details the unique needs of gift shops in healthcare facilities, and gives advice on how VARs can move beyond the POS in the healthcare vertical.

"Typically in a cafeteria, which is different than a restaurant, you'll have what I call either a kiosk or a pod station," Flores says. "Sometimes they're movable but they're usually one person standing at a pod. Floor space and real estate is definitely prime there. ... What you'll see in a gift shop is the same exact way the cafeteria is laid out. They're typically tiny -- sometimes they convert a room to the side into a gift shop, so real estate is prime there, also."
