Honeywell Mobile Handheld Computer Designed For Retailers
Honeywell designed the Dolphin 6110 upgraded mobile handheld computer with retail applications in mind. Retailers can use the handheld computer to track inventory, conduct merchandise audits, and look up prices. Similar in appearance to Honeywell’s Dolphin 6100 scanner, it includes upgraded technology including an 800 MHz processor, updated bar code scanning and decoding capabilities, increased memory, and a broader WLAN radio frequency range. Other features and capabilities of the Dolphin 6110 mobile computer include Honeywell’s Adaptus 6.0 Imaging Technology for reading 2D bar codes and the ability to integrate with Honeywell’s Remote MasterMind device management software.
Panasonic Upgrades Toughbook CF-C2
Panasonic upgraded the Toughbook CF-C2 semi-rugged convertible tablet PC. It now features 4G LTE multicarrier embedded wireless broadband connectivity and provides approximately 14 hours of battery life. It is powered by a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 processor, and it is optimized for the new Windows 8.1 Pro OS, with a Microsoft Windows 7 Professional downgrade option available. Upgrades also include improved graphics and camera enhancements. The tablet has a 12.5-inch 10-point capacitive multitouch HD screen, touchpad with multitouch gesture recognition, keyboard, and available digitizer pen. Customers can choose from options including 128GB or 256GB solid state drives; serial port, VGA (HDMI port comes standard) or modem port; near field communications (NFC); or SmartCard reader for user authentication.
Wasp Barcode Technologies Launches New Website
Wasp Barcode Technologies released a new website. The site includes descriptive product information, an improved case study layout, and videos with clear explanations of how each solution will improve a customer’s business. Wasp’s channel partners can benefit from the updated website with new training and support documents and a well-defined portal. Additional upgrades include simplified menus and optimization for use with tablets and smartphones. WaspBarcode.com is currently available to customers, prospects, and partners.
Datalogic Announces New Presentation Scanner
Datalogic has announced the availability of the Gryphon GPS4490 2D presentation scanner. It has 2D area imaging technology that enables it to read both 1D and 2D codes regardless of the scanner’s orientation. The scanner includes Datalogic’s Green Spot technology, providing visual good read feedback. Other key features of the scanner include multi-interface capabilities (RS232/USB); external trigger button for testing and alignment; LED lights for power and reading indications; and a beeper for audible read feedback. Operational modes include standard, auto-sense stand mode, automatic, and continuous reading. It is rated IP52 for resistance to dust and water.
