D&H Resellers Can Effectively Prepare for Cisco’s SMB Specialization Exam Through a Streamlined and Convenient Online “Enablement Training Series,” And D&H Will Pick Up the Exam Fee
D&H Distributing, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, is offering an “Enablement Training Series” for value-added resellers (VARs), which will provide the information required to pass Cisco’s SMB Specialization exam, a requirement for partners with the Cisco Select certification badge. The D&H training program is an on-demand, module-based offering that its VAR customers can take at no cost by visiting the dedicated landing page on dandh.com. Once the training modules are completed, the distributor will provide each reseller up to two (2) testing vouchers, which covers the fee for the Cisco exam, all at no cost. The Enablement course content is condensed yet rich, allowing resellers to learn the required material at their convenience and earn their Cisco SMB Specialization.
Cisco is requiring all its existing Select Certified Partners to earn the Cisco SMB Specialization by March 3, 2014. This process is designed to update Cisco’s channel partners on its technology and overall architecture, and to empower Cisco reseller partners to employ solutions-based sales strategies. Cisco Select Certification authorizes partners that have achieved its Small and Midsize Business (SMB) Specialization, recognizing the VAR’s expertise specific to small and medium-sized businesses. This regimen will include new technology topics such as cloud concepts, the vendor’s SMB-level TelePresence products, plus virtualization and data center switching.
D&H has launched a dedicated webpage, dandh.com/CiscoCertification, where resellers can access the Enablement Training Series. It offers a set of modules for resellers’ Cisco Account Manager (AM) and Engineer (EN) positions. The site also provides resources such as a FAQ section and a recertification checklist. And D&H’s Cisco System Engineers will be available for live Q&A sessions, called “Office Hours,” to support resellers who have questions about the material.
“We’re happy to support Cisco in its effort to enhance the education of our mutual partner community. We want to make the process as easy and seamless as possible for our customers,” said Nick Courtney, executive director of Cisco sales at D&H. “The more we increase and hone the knowledge of SMB resellers, the more they will generate sales and business opportunities that leverage turnkey solutions. Our Enablement program allows them to recertify in a convenient and affordable manner, providing a terrific opportunity to improve their skills and attain new tools for success.”
“We’re excited to see that our distribution partner D&H is able to provide such comprehensive support toward our initiative to keep the channel well educated,” said Andrew Sage, vice president, Americas Distribution at Cisco. “Our mutual customers will gain a greater ability to capture sales through these combined efforts.”
