Phillip Fischer

Philip Fischer is the global data center segment manager. In this role, he serves as the strategic leader for all of the Eaton’s activity in the global data center industry. He has more than 20 years of data center industry experience in business development, strategy and execution, and various sales and marketing roles; and holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

No longer implementing singular, enormous, and inflexible designs, today’s data centers are influenced by “software-defined” concepts such as pooling, virtualization, and abstraction. As a result, software-defined solutions are increasingly becoming the norm in IT infrastructure, helping to reduce infrastructure costs, improve resiliency against unplanned service outages and make resources easier to manage and scale.
