VIVOTEK Unveils New Camera, License Plate Kit
License plate recognition (LPR) is one of the hotter trends in IP video. As such, VIVOTEK has announced its IP816A-LPC kit for day and night traffic monitoring. Empowered with VIVOTEK Scene Mode, which provides different exposure levels to avoid overexposure in some lighting conditions, the IP816A-LPC can capture clear plate images from vehicles moving at speeds of up to 60 MPH. The IP816A-LPC kit is equipped with external 24W IR LEDs and a delicate IR pass filter, which help filter out reflected light and only capture detailed information from plates. Ultimately, the IR threshold is also programmed to deploy the IR LEDs automatically to ensure 24/7 day and night performance. Included in the kit are a 2 MP 60fps IP camera, IR LEDs, outdoor enclosure, and mounting brackets.

Additionally, the company announced its CC8370-HV anti-ligature fisheye network camera, which offers 30 fps at a resolution of 3 MP. Featuring 180-degree horizontal panoramic views with ±25-degree adjustable tilt angle, the camera allows users flexibility of viewing angles and options. Finally, the camera is equipped with a MicroSD/SDHC/SDXC card slot for backup recording and a built-in microphone that records sound within a 5 meter radius.
