Aerohive Networks Beefs Up Executive And Sales Staff With Three New Hires

Aerohive Networks recently announced that it has appointed Michael Lin to vice president of product management, Michael O’Brien to vice president of global channels, and Alan Cuellar Amrod to vice president of worldwide systems engineering.

  • Michael Lin has joined Aerohive as vice president of product management. He is responsible for product line management for Aerohive’s growing portfolio of cloud networking solutions.
    • Michael joins Aerohive from Symantec where he was the vice president of product management for mobility. He led the strategy and development of Symantec’s mobile products, including Mobile Device Management, Mobile Application Management, Enterprise Secure Synch and Share, and consumer mobile offerings. Prior to Symantec, Michael served as an executive in residence at SRI Ventures where he applied his mobile industry expertise to evaluate various venture concepts in the mobile marketplace. Previously, Michael worked for twelve years at VeriSign, which culminated with a position as vice president/general manager, responsible for product, strategy, and overall business performance of the VeriSign SSL business. Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
  • Michael O’Brien has joined Aerohive as vice president of global channels, a newly created position.
    • Michael brings to Aerohive over 20 years of channel experience. Before joining Aerohive, he was executive director global channels and alliances at Dell. Michael joined Dell in 2011 through its acquisition of Force 10, where he served as vice president of channels and alliances. Prior to that, he was director of worldwide commercial channels at AMD and held director-level titles at Sun Microsystems.
  • Alan Cuellar Amrod has joined Aerohive as vice president of worldwide systems engineering.
    • Alan came to Aerohive from Cisco, where he was senior director of global enterprise networking responsible for the wireless business. Prior to Cisco, Alan was vice president of sales, marketing, and system engineering at Xirrus. He previously worked as vice president of marketing at Ixia, vice president of marketing at Alcatel, and director of sales at Xylan. Alan also held several positions at G.E. Healthcare, and served in both the U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Navy. He holds a B.S. degree from the State University of New York at Albany.
