In 2014, we dedicated a lot of editorial to the changing landscape of retail IT and how solutions providers in this market are well-positioned to grow if they are willing to make some adjustments. In an attempt to help, Business Solutions held three Channel Transitions conferences this year. The shows were designed to help solutions providers take steps away from break-fix and toward the as-a-Service recurring revenue model. While the events garnered a lot of praise from attendees (and we’ll be holding more next year), the as-a-Service business model is just one of the changes taking place in the retail market. Of course, there are a lot of technological changes as well.
