CloudCare offers IT resellers and MSPs a highly efficient and profitable way to serve small business customers
AMSTERDAM and SAN FRANCISCO – AVG Technologies (NYSE: AVG), the provider of Internet and mobile security to 128 million active users, today announced the launch of AVG CloudCare™, offering simplified security and IT management specifically built for small businesses and the channel that serves them. Already tested by selected resellers and managed service providers (MSPs) on thousands of devices, AVG CloudCare has quickly demonstrated its ability to help IT resellers manage and protect small business customers more efficiently and profitably.
IT resellers who serve the small to medium sized business (SMB) channel have two problems: their customers’ expectations often exceed their willingness to pay for services, and the technology tools available to them are designed for enterprises, not small businesses. By listening carefully to the needs of the SMB resellers, AVG has delivered a platform and services offering that helps customers lower costs, save time and become more profitable serving small businesses.
“For the last 20 years AVG has worked tirelessly to simplify IT security for small businesses, partners and consumers,” said JR Smith, CEO, AVG Technologies. “Small business owners already have enough to think about without having to deal with complicated IT administration. Now, AVG CloudCare allows them - through their preferred IT provider - to have managed, pay-as-you-go IT services so they can fully concentrate on their businesses, knowing their IT is in good hands.”
Free Cloud-based Administrative Platform and AVG Remote IT (beta)
For resellers and MSPs, AVG CloudCare provides a free-of-charge, easy-to-use cloud-based administrative platform that allows them to remotely manage AVG’s award-winning AVG AntiVirus and AVG Content Filtering services across all customers at an affordable price. Over time, AVG envisions that AVG CloudCare’s capabilities will grow to include a wide variety of additional services such as data backup.
Also key to AVG CloudCare is AVG Remote IT. Available immediately to all AVG CloudCare partners in beta version, AVG Remote IT is a free tool that lets resellers remotely access and trouble-shoot issues on their customers’ devices from anywhere.
Pay-As-You-Go and Easy On/Off Services
Unlike rival platforms that charge up-front fees based on number of estimated users, AVG CloudCare only charges for services that are actually used. In addition, individual services can be activated and deactivated as needed.
"We looked at several cloud solutions and none of them had the control, performance and support AVG CloudCare offers,” said Matthew Adkins of Vanguard Technologies. “With AVG CloudCare, we get the hybrid abilities of both local and cloud control, along with the easy management and low system footprint we love with AVG. Add in optional client-based content filtering in the subscription model that is easily deployed with your AV protection and you have a great solution for small and medium business. “
AVG CloudCare also includes:
“Without a doubt, AVG CloudCare breaks down the economic barriers that once prevented SMBs from properly leveraging cloud services, the most powerful and nimble technology advance on the market,” said Gene Marks, a small business owner, author and columnist. “Now that resellers and MSPs can easily manage the devices of small business customers, it’s safe to say AVG CloudCare is well placed to deliver further benefits that will make the lives of busy owner-managers working with IT increasingly less complicated.”
AVG CloudCare is available exclusively via AVG resellers in North America, the UK and Ireland. To find out more and become an AVG CloudCare partner, go to www.avg.com/cloudcare.
