Cardknox Development Announces Its EMV Solution For Browser-Based POS Systems

LAKEWOOD, N. J.-- Cardknox Development Inc., a leading gateway and payments provider announced its EMV solution for browser-based Point of Sale (POS) systems at the RetailNOW 2015, the premier trade show event for the retail technology and point of sale industry hosted by the Retail Solution Providers Association (RSPA).

EMV is a technical standard for smart payment cards and for payment terminals and automated teller machines which can accept them managed by the EMVCo consortium.

"Internet browsers present a unique challenge for EMV compatibility." said Yanky Weiss, Cardknox's Chief Technology Officer. "We are thrilled to announce our proprietary solution that enables EMV for browser-based POS systems in time for the October 1st liability shift, when merchants become liable for any fraud that results from transactions on systems that are not EMV capable."

Cardknox is a pioneer of developer-friendly payment systems with a gateway and SDK that enables POS systems providers to ready their systems for EMV. With EMV confusion at an all-time high, Cardknox offers a simple solution to what is otherwise a complex problem. "

"Our focus is to help POS developers navigate the EMV complexities and to find unique solutions for their individual systems," Weiss added. "Our EMV solution for browser-based POS systems is yet another pioneering solution that Cardknox  is proud to bring to market."

The Cardknox gateway is an example of the Cardknox commitment to delivering payment solutions to support new technologies that ensure maximum security. Delivering best of class functionality and retail-ready out of scope solutions, Cardknox is unique in offering full stack payments program, with high developer residuals, plus a gateway-only option available, for merchants locked into existing processing contracts.

Avi Diena, Technology Partner Manager  of Cardknox, said, "Software developers offering payments through Cardknox can use our emulation of most popular gateways, so they can avoid introducing a new gateway integration. Those that prefer to take advantage of all the Cardknox advanced features can deeply integrate their systems for even greater payment functionality."

Cardknox also offers plugins for many popular POS systems, such as Intuit's Quickbooks POS and Microsoft's Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS), fully enabling merchants using those platforms to accept EMV payments.
