Software developers can now quickly and easily add EMV chip card transactions to their attended and unattended point of sale (POS) and mobile POS solutions.

NEW YORK, NRF Retail’s BIG Show, January 11, 2017 - Creditcall, the omni-channel Payment Gateway and EMV Kernel provider, announces more than 38 EMV certifications for its payment gateway SDK - ChipDNA - with leading processors for a range of EMV chip card payment terminals used in retail, restaurants, parking, transportation and vending. The biggest processors include Chase Paymentech, Elavon, First Data, Global Payments, Heartland, TSYS, and Worldpay, covering 83% of the U.S. payment processing market, and the most popular payment terminals from Globalcom, Ingenico, Miura Systems, Poynt, and Verifone. ChipDNA lets software developers add EMV acceptance to their POS and mPOS solutions to allow their merchants becoming EMV compliant while reducing the risk of card fraud and the scope of PCI DSS. More processors and terminals will be added in the following months.

The latest EMVCo numbers (reflecting transactions up to June 2016) tell a compelling story about how far the United States still needs to go before EMV adoption is widespread. The report data shows that, at 8 months beyond the EMV liability shift, only 7.2% of card-present transactions used EMV cards and certified terminals. While it can be expected that the next round of numbers will show an increase, all indications are that there is still a lot of work to be done.

“We are proud to have more than 38 EMV certifications under our belt, thanks to our amazing staff who support our customers very closely with their integrations, making EMV less daunting and allowing developers to get back to what they do best — adding value to their software” said Lars Pedersen, CEO at Creditcall. “By using ChipDNA, our complete payment technology stack, the burden of EMV certifications is shortened dramatically and merchants can start accepting EMV chip cards much faster” Pedersen continued.

ChipDNA is an omni-channel, EMV-ready payment gateway solution for mobile, online, in-store and self-service card payment acceptance. It is aimed at software developers and can be integrated into Android and iOS based mobile POS (mPOS) payment solutions as well as Windows and Linux semi-integrated environments. It includes a comprehensive terminal management system (TMS), remote key injection (RKI) and point to point encryption (P2PE) for the highest level of cardholder data protection. Developers can choose from 38 different device manufacturer and processor combinations which reduces integration time and resources without the need for complex and lengthy processor certifications.

Creditcall will be present at Retail’s Big Show, on the Miura Systems booth #918 at the NRF convention held from Jan. 15-17 at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
