D&H Distributing Offers MS Windows Server 2003 Refresh Webcast February 26

As the July End-of-Support Deadline for MS Windows Server 2003 Approaches, D&H Offers Guidance via its Popular Solutions Lab on How to Capitalize on Server Upgrades

D&H Distributing, the leading North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, announces it is offering a webcast presentation, “Windows Server 2003 End of Support - Customer Need Becomes VAR Opportunity,” on February 26, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. ET. The session will be conducted by D&H Solutions Coordinator Bill Hersh and D&H Intel Server Champ Matt Allison, and will feature a live, interactive question and answer session at the end of the presentation. The webcast is being offered at no cost for resellers in the channel. Interested solution providers can register at: http://engage.vevent.com/index.jsp?eid=658&seid=1958&code=PR

D&H foresees an even greater upgrade opportunity resulting from the impending support cut-off for Server 2003 than what the market experienced with the discontinuation of Microsoft Windows XP support in 2014. SMB companies that require a Server 2003 upgrade will likely also have additional upgrade needs, due to the complex nature of a server architecture. Its functionality often integrates with back-end systems, CRM functions and other aspects of the overall network.

The webcast will help familiarize resellers on the improvements and capabilities of the Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 solution, in addition to a multitude of server-related products that can also be utilized in an upgrade of an antiquated Server ‘03 platform. This includes products for back-up, disaster recovery, security and storage.

“We have been introducing resellers to this opportunity since early last year, starting with seminar sessions and major technology focus throughout our trade show schedule,” said Jeff Davis, senior vice president of sales at D&H. “Now that we are nearing the actual EOS deadline, companies will be more eager to seek advice on how to deal with their new needs. We want to position VARs in the channel to capture that business, turning them into that trusted advisor who can support SMB end-customers through a transition to more secure, robust and powerful environment. Microsoft’s upgraded server solutions offer a sophisticated and advanced platform, so the upgrade cycle offers a good deal of benefits to all parties in the channel.”

Attendees will be able to download addition materials to help them market and sell new SMB server solutions, including D&H’s Partner Services marketing brochures on server, back-up, disaster recovery, and other related topics.
