By Gil Allouche, Vice President of Marketing, Qubole

With the democratization of Big Data, powerful data analytics tools such as cloud-based Hadoop are now available to mainstream information workers and developers as well as data scientists and engineers. As a result, both large and small enterprises in a variety of industries have the ability to mine mountains of valuable data for profit and competitive advantage. For others, doing statistics may be just one role out of many that they are currently asked to perform. Having a clear understanding of who software users will be enables you to more accurately choose a statistical software package that suits both the company’s analytics needs and the designated employee’s abilities.
