Honeywell Unveils Industry's First Integrated AIDC Scanning And Mobility Device Management Solution

Remote MasterMind 3.0 sets industry standard for holistic approach to device management

Honeywell recently announced the introduction of Remote MasterMind 3.0 (ReM 3.0), the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry's first integrated mobility and scanning device management solution. Building on the legacy of Honeywell's portfolio of management solutions, the new software solution delivers enhanced and integrated management of the following devices under a single web-based console: Honeywell bar code scanners, Microsoft Windows-based mobility devices, and consumer-grade smartphones and tablets running on Google Android and Apple iOS operating systems. A Remote MasterMind 3.0 demonstration will be available in Honeywell's booth #1451 at the National Retail Federation's 101st Annual EXPO which will take place in New York City, New York, January 16–17, 2012.

ReM 3.0 redefines standards in end-user productivity by enabling information technology (IT) professionals to perform the key value drivers of device management from a central location:

  • Asset tracking
  • Software distribution
  • Configuration management
  • Diagnostic monitoring including remote control
  • Automated collection of performance metrics and measurements

Remote MasterMind 3.0 features a dashboard for quick and accurate troubleshooting and flexible software deployment options. The upgraded software allows IT professionals to generate customized visual reports of key metrics and trends. And unlike other remote management solutions on the market, ReM 3.0 provides access to detailed device-specific data, such as system performance, on/off events, and keyboard and touch panel presses. ReM 3.0 places valuable insight on device usage and overall performance into the hands of IT professionals, enabling enterprises to drive streamlined workflow and increased worker productivity.
