Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace To Offer Unified Communication Solutions For SMB-Focused Channel Partners
Siemens Enterprise Communications Teams with the Ingram Micro Services Division to Offer Cloud-based Unified Communications and Cloud Collaboration Solutions to Channel Partners in the U.S. and Canada
Rapidly expanding its cloud services portfolio, the Services Division of Ingram Micro Inc. is pleased to announce new cloud-based unified communications and collaboration (UCC) offerings from Siemens Enterprise Communications targeted specifically for use by small and midsize businesses (SMBs).
Announced earlier this week at the 2011 Ingram Micro Cloud Summit in Phoenix, the new Siemens Enterprise Communications hosted UCC solutions and services will be made generally available in Q3 2011, as part of the distributor's growing IT services portfolio and Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace. Solution providers and MSPs will be able to purchase the complete Siemens Enterprise Communications solution or buy a la carte via the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace later this year.
The new solutions and services include the complete portfolio of Siemens Enterprise Communications OpenScape Cloud Services. Hosted in secure, carrier-class data centers, OpenScape Cloud Services are delivered as a service via a secure data connection and offer channel partners a complete, multi-tenant, pay-per-use unified communications solution that is ideal for small and midsized businesses with 50 to 500 users and scaled to fit the business needs of enterprise organizations.
"We are pleased to be working with Ingram Micro to bring OpenScape Cloud Services to their SMB-focused channel partners," says Michael R. Davis, vice president and general manager, Cloud Services - North America at Siemens Enterprise Communications. "Ingram Micro has a strong Cloud strategy in place that we believe nicely complements our offering, so that together we can deliver cost-effective and reliable UCC capabilities to customers."
"The combination of cloud computing and unified communications solutions is redefining how businesses engage and bringing with it profitable new services opportunities for network savvy IT solution providers and MSPs who are eager to embrace cloud-based technologies," says Renée Bergeron, vice president, managed services and cloud computing, Ingram Micro North America. "The Ingram Micro Cloud portfolio is growing rapidly as we continue to execute against our strategy and lead the market as a master aggregator of IT solutions and services. We are thrilled to announce this new relationship with Siemens Enterprise Communications and bring to market cost-effective, enterprise-grade, cloud-based UCC solutions for those channel partners selling to SMBs."
In addition, Bergeron notes that the Ingram Micro Services Division will be announcing a portfolio of UCC services and solutions designed to meet the business needs of midmarket organizations and enterprises in the months ahead.
"The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace will ultimately provide solution providers and MSPs access to an entire portfolio of UCC offerings that scale from SMB to enterprise and become the IT channel's one stop shop for procuring and provisioning cloud services and solutions," concludes Bergeron.
