POS Dealer Comparison: How Do You Measure Up?

By The Business Solutions Network

Today, something a little different. I want to let you know/remind you that the RSPA (Retail Solutions Providers Association, the POS industry's only association) is collecting data from POS dealers to create a report of key performance indicators you can use to make better business decisions. Find out exactly where you stand against others in the POS industry. Are you charging too much or too little for your services? Are you overpaying your techs? What kinds of margins are other in the industry getting?

This could be the most important survey you take this year. However, as you'll see, the information the RSPA is asking you to share isn't something you typically would. Rest assured, your company's data will not be made public.

Only cumulative results will be shared and only survey takers will receive a full report of the findings. Additionally, survey takers will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win $500.

The RSPA will also present an analysis of the results, presented by business consultant Brett Harward, during RetailNOW on Sunday, July 29th at 3:00pm.

While you might find the questions overwhelming at a glance, most of this information can probably be found in your accounting software. If you don't understand what they're looking for with some of the questions, a PDF explanation guide is provided.

I encourage you to take this survey if only to gain access to the report.
