Success Runs In Groups, Peer Groups, That Is

By Arlin Sorensen, O and Founder of the Heartland Companies which includes HTG Peer Groups

Over the past several months I’ve been blessed to be able to speak at several vendor events about peer groups and HTG in particular. The amount of time has varied from an hour to three hours, and the format has often included some tabletop time as well to interact with attendees. At each of the events and sessions, as is almost always the case, there is a lot of excitement and energy around peer groups after I finish speaking. I am very blessed to be able to introduce people to the HTG Way of doing peer groups because it’s something I am passionate about. I enjoy sharing about my leadership journey and what my experience with HTG Peer Groups has taught me about the power of peers. People come up and say things like “This is exactly what I’ve been looking for” or “I can see how this would transform my business.”

The truth is, a great peer group has the potential to transform not only your business but also your life … if you execute. While we get dozens of business cards and email addresses from people who say they can’t wait to get involved, surprisingly few ever actually follow through and apply to become part of the HTG program. It isn’t that difficult to get involved, but it does require that people do something: go online and apply. That is actually the first bar of being accepted.  HTG is based on the concept of execution — in fact our motto has always been “Business and Personal Growth Driven by Execution through Accountability.”
