"The cafeterias and the gift shops in the hospitals and senior centers are a fraction of the applications that (VARs) can actually end up selling into," Mendenhall says. "Where you really want to get into is how do you get a product and a service at every bed, at every point of customer interaction or patient interaction. There's far more of those applications -- whether it's patient entertainment or doctor information or patient service records -- that occur within a hospital than just in the cafeteria and gift center."
