An Open Approach To Payments

A new payment processing option opens up additional functionality and business opportunities for this POS VAR.

Modern merchants need flexibility and agility when it comes to information technology. That’s especially true of SMBs that are trying to grow while simultaneously navigating PCI (Payment Card Industry) requirements and searching for cost-effective ways to handle payment processing. LinkPOS, a Utah-based POS provider, recently assisted one of its restaurant clients with a credit card processing issue via a payment appliance that supports multiple processors. The system not only assisted the client, but opened the door for new business for LinkPOS.

The company recently installed the new payment solution with a four-location pizzeria that has been a LinkPOS customer for several years. When a credit card terminal solution at the restaurants began experiencing problems, LinkPOS had to step back in with a new solution. “They needed a customer-facing credit card terminal, and we had originally deployed a different solution for them,” says LinkPOS CEO Steve Walter. “However, there were some issues with disconnections and lost transactions.”
