Video: How ScanSource Has Evolved Over The Company's History

At the ScanSource Worldwide Partner Conference for POS and Barcoding, March 16-18 in Greenville, SC, Paul Constantine, president of ScanSource POS & Barcode, U.S./Canada, explains how ScanSource has evolved over the years. Constantine shows three logos and brand statements the company has used at different times, and points out at each time in the company’s history, good tech support, inventory, and sales people have been vital.

In the early days, tech support was primarily post sale; however, now about 80 percent of tech support is presale, with partners requesting help to build solutions and finding the right products for end users.

Constantine says inventory has changed with tech advancements, and ScanSource’s sales team, too, has evolved. “We look for people with a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to customer service. We can teach them the rest,” Constantine says. “We hire people with the right internal characteristics to provide the best customer service.”
