Money 2020: POS Solutions Providers Can Advise Retailers

Jameson Publishing and Business Solutions magazine President Jim Roddy talks to Todd Lasher, VP and GM for Channel Business at ShopKeep, in this Executive-To-Executive interview conducted at the Money2020 conference, held Oct. 6-10, 2013 at the Aria in Las Vegas.

Lasher says adoption of new technologies is happening quickly. In 2009, there were no tablet point of sale systems, and now, companies that sell tablet-based POS are common in the marketplace. He says the role of the solutions provider is changing with the industry. Businesses might vary — quick service restaurants, car washes, salons, liquor stores — but they all want to be in business and they aren’t necessarily technology experts. “They’re looking for a trusted service manager to help them,” Lasher says.
